Message from the Principal A New Academic Year

Dear Mondial JHS family members,

Welcome back, Grade 8 and 9 students and parents! I hope you have enjoyed the school break and are now re-energized to start a new school year.

For Grade 7 students and parents, welcome to Mondial JHS. I am delighted that you are part of our learning community and I look forward to working together with you.

Looking at the students’ cheerfulness and enthusiasm, I believe these are signs pointing to another productive school year. As all of the school personnel prepare for a nurturing learning environment, this academic year we plan exciting events to promote character building among students and motivate them in our joyous community.

The upcoming events in Mondial JHS are:

Parent Orientation (July 2019)

In the Parent Orientation programme, Mondial JHS introduces the school’s staff and Forum Orang Tua (FORTU) committee, curriculum, rules and traditions. There is a workshop on using our Sistem Informasi (SISFO) for parents to stay informed of their children’s academic progress. At the end of the event, there is a performance by Grade 7 students.

Sosialisasi Awal Ujian dan Kelulusan (August 2019)

To cooperate well in preparing Grade 9 students’ Examinations, Mondial JHS will present some information related to the Ujian Nasional Berbasis Komputer (UNBK), Ujian Sekolah Berstandar Nasional (USBN), and Ujian Praktik.

Family Fun Day (August 2019)

Commemorating Indonesian Independence Day on 17 August, Mondial JHS will hold a flag ceremony in the morning. Following the ceremony, students, parents, teachers, and staff members gather to participate in some games, such as Tug of War, dodge ball, sack race, and spicy meatball eating competition.

Prefect Leadership Camp (August 2019)

Mondial JHS’ Prefectorial Board comprises of students who are exemplary and have a positive attitude. As the role models, they act to inspire and other students to live out Mondial JHS’ good values. In this camp, they will participate in some activities to prepare them being leaders in our community.

Kemah Pramuka (September 2019)

Kemah Pramuka is another leadership nurturing activity in Mondial JHS. All scout members are exposed to tasks and challenges to reach higher ranks in Scouting. Some exceptional students are also commissioned as Dewan Galang during this camp.

Youth in Action (October 2019)

This project is implementing the spirit of Sumpah Pemuda within. In this project, students create videos (can be in the form of songs, short movies, or vlogs) to invite other teenagers to have the spirit of Sumpah Pemuda.

Sex Education (October 2019)

This programme is delivered to Grade 8 and 9 students covering educational topics related to teenagers’ reproductive health concerns. In the Sex Education programme, the general information is presented by a professional practitioner, followed by guidance and consultations by the school’s counselor.

Field Trip (October 2019)

Mondial JHS opts several themes of field trips which suit students’ educational needs of exploration yet is filled with vibrant activities to enable students to have experimental learning outside the classrooms and school buildings.

Sports Day (December 2019)

After having productive school days, Mondial JHS invites all students to compete in several sports, such as badminton, basketball, football, and cup-stacking. In this activity, students of each class are expected to have a better bonding among them in a cheer competition.

The events above are conducted to provide the best learning experience for all students. Thank you for entrusting us to educate your children, and I am sure that all students are in the safe hands of our dedicated teachers and staff members.
